Vancouver-based RotorLink’s Quality Management System is certified by NQA under ISO9001:2015 and AS9100:2016

VANCOUVER, Canada (September 30, 2017) –Quality Management System certified by NQA

RotorLink Technical Services, Inc, a company based in Delta, British Columbia is pleased to announce it has been certified by NQA for AS9100:2016 and ISO 9001:2015.

“This is so much more than a quality management system,” said Dave Bohonis, president of RotorLink, “It is an indicator that we are dedicated to continuous improvement of performance evaluation, quality, costs and delivery. It also involves our commitment to define our business vision as influenced by all requirements of interested parties. I would like to thank Jochen Dimigen with SDS Consulting Corporation for his continuous support in helping RotorLink achieve these certifications. It is an intimidating task to fulfill each and every requirement for certification, but his understanding of the process was a fundamental part of our success.”

About NQA

Headquartered in Acton, Massachusetts, NQA, USA was established in 1992 as a joint venture between National Quality Assurance (NQA), Limited (headquartered in London, England) and National Technical Systems, Inc. headquartered in Calabasas, CA. NQA, USA has expertise in many diverse industries including aerospace, telecommunications, electronics, information technology, professional services, transportation and distribution, automotive, plastics, metal and machinery, foods and supply chain management.

ISO 9001

ISO 9001 is an International Quality Management System Standard that specifies requirements within which an organization demonstrates its ability to consistently provide product or service to meet customer and legal requirements, enhancing customer satisfaction and opening the way to continual improvement. The requirements are intended to be applicable to all organizations, regardless of type, size or product/service provided. Globally more than one million organizations have implemented ISO 9001 Management Systems (50,000 organizations in North America). ISO 9001 was originally published in 1987 by the International Organization for Standardization, a worldwide federation of national standards bodies, headquartered in Geneva, Switzerland. The Organization was founded in 1946 to develop a common set of standards for manufacturing, trade and communications. Today more than 150 countries are members, each with a representative. The representative for the United States is the American National Standards Institute (ANSI). In addition to ISO 9001, more than 17,000 other ISO standards exist. ISO 9001:2016 is the current version of this standard.

AS9100

AS9100 is the quality management standard specific to the aerospace industry but it also includes the ISO 9001:2015 standard verbatim. Consequently, any company registered to AS9100 also meets the requirements of ISO 9001:2015. In addition, this standard includes additional requirements specific to the unique requirements of the aerospace industry. First published in May 1997 by the SAE (Society of Automotive Engineers) as AS9000, the AS standard has evolved to AS9100:2016 (Rev. D) and is recognized by all major Aerospace OEMs

RotorLink’s Quality Management System strengthens their position in the global market, where it already serves – and is focused on continuing to grow – a broad base of rotor-wing clients.
